Were Will They Be Next?

I started with the idea of having one bracelet on a journey to spread positive energy and good thoughts after my surgery in May 2012. I was scared, I feared the worst of all possible outcomes. Cancer, even at it's best is not an easy thing to face.

After posting about what I was facing on my Beaded Bear's Nonsense blog, I received so many well wishes as comments on the blog, emails and even cards by snail mail.

I wanted to pay back in some fashion those good vibes I could not have done without. One bracelet became two, then four, and now.... there are 24 traveling the world!!

All I know is, is that this is a good thing. The bracelets are traveling all over the world.

I hope this continues on for a good long time.

Who can't use some Positive Energy and Good Karma?

Minnesota: Maria R

Maria R of NY State had "Minnesota" visit her over the holidays.

I received the bracelet from Pat Wiley.  We met in VT and lived near each other in NYC and NJ.  Our friendship started in the 70s.

Even though we are separated by many miles, we stay in touch.  When I learned of her diagnosis with ovarian cancer, I struggled to find a way to be of help. A Prayer Circle came to my mind.  Not a large one but made of a few people I know who believe in the power of prayer.  Pat is an incredible writer, and over the past three years we have all come to love and admire Pat's strength, her faith and her love of life.

Beading and sharing beading with her Mom are passions for her, along with her love of her husband Bob and her dogs, Sydney and Yoshi.

The bracelet means a lot to me  since Pat sent it and it is beaded.  Also, it is named Minnesota where we visit our son often.  I have taken a picture wearing it by the window in our living room.  You can see the NYC skyline and the Hudson River.

I do believe there is a cumulative effect when people stop to think of others.  It changes all of us in a positive way. Pat is brave and open, and we all learn from her.

So the bracelet reminds me of connecting and caring, and their power.

Pat asked me to pass this on to a person in the prayer group, and I will.
